This morning, we became aware of a vulnerability related to the underlying technology used in Vapour as well as most of the internet, including websites and web apps.
Importantly, Vapour customer data remains secure.
We have processes in place that mean we can move quickly to handle exactly this type of situation and, as a precautionary measure, we moved immediately. Mitigations to protect customers’ data were in place shortly after 9.30 today.
We expect a fix from the external provider within the next few hours.
Meantime, the security mitigations mean Vapour users can’t perform some usual platform actions, such as uploading files. Normal service will resume once the patch comes out. We expect this to be released and live by later today.
Customers can continue to use the available system features meantime.
